Drawings
Drawing is a process I have been doing all my life, both in training to be an artist and in my professional career. The subjects usually involve people, whether they are from real life or fantasy worlds/creations. While I have done realistic drawings, I find myself gravitating towards a customized style that combines realism with comic art. In the piece titled "The Crusader of Duxn", a commissioned piece that I did in 2019, the piece involving a small thumbnail, scaled sketch that I later used as reference for the image, a size total of 18"x24" inches. This was more or less the first time using this method and I would love to go back to see if I can do better, a v2 as it were.
For my subject, I like drawing the human form mostly, mainly for both its beauty and its complexity. Over the years, I have dedicated lots of time learning the intricacies of the human face as well as the body in both the female and male forms. Through this, having a better understanding about how the body works has also improved on my drawing skills, initially using images as my reference for study to coming up with my own concepts to then bring to light.
